Wendy Lake: Testimonies

Hi.
I hear your song "Overcome" on my tv (I have Directv and the music channels have all been changed to XM Radio - I love it!).
I wait to hear the song. I really like it. Its very upbeat and uplifting. I always feel pumped up when I hear it.
I looked on amazon.com, sound-and-spirit.com, and musichristian.com and couldn't find your CD.
Finally (and I don't know why it took me so long), but I "googled" you and found your site.
I just watched you on "100 Huntley Street" from July 11, 2006. Wow! I was crying. Your testimony was amazing.
I so wish I had your faith. On Monday, April 24, 2006 I had 1.5 feet of my colon removed (the entire sigmoid colon).
I have been suffering from Diverticulitis for years.
I'm sad that I didn't have enough faith in God to heal me completely. During several of the infection flare-ups I did feel Him with me and know he delivered me from most of the pain.
I spent 4.5 days in the hospital.
I prayed and talked to Jesus, over and over.
I felt Him holding me. He was right there in the bed with me. As the week progressed the nurses thought I was nuts because I didn't use "the button" (I had one of those medicine distribution buttons). I didn't need it. Jesus was holding me and I needed nothing else.
I was so filled with calmness. I wasn't scared.
After I came home, I did nothing for 2 weeks, worked from home part time for the next 2 weeks, and was back in the office on May 22, 2006, 28 days after the surgery. My doctor was really pleased with my progress. I told him it was all God. Unfortunately, he had no comment.
I'm glad you are doing so well. It was a complete and awesome blessing to me to hear your story.
Thanks for your great music too. May your success continue to all His glory!

Anne Quit Smoking!!
I am so excited!! I just got a call from Anne, and she has QUIT SMOKING! She was so happy to report that she has overcome this dangerous habbit! She smoked cigarettes since she was 12 years old. She determined in her heart that she would not smoke another cigarette and God was with her all the way! She told me that every time she wanted a cigarette she would go drive in her car and listen to "Overcome"! I was so encouraged from Anne's testimony! Praise the Lord who delivers us all from every harmful thing that sets out to destroy us! In Him, we have victory over our enemies! Whatever they may be, smoking, drugs, sickness, disease, we are Overcomers!

Hello, my name is Janet. I hear your song all the time on xm radio. I have emailed xm several times looking for you some how. Your song overcome is a powerful, uplifting, encouraging song. I was going through some struggles in life, in a abusive marriage, drinking, on anti depressants, nerve pills,
and much more. Then I hear your song and it moved me. I felt for the first time what deep down I knew, but just forgotten, that I will overcome. The devil will not win and my life started changing again. My faith had been tested and thankfully things have turned around for me. I thank God for His strength and helping me. I do not drink, or take all that other medicine. I have been off everything for over a year and my husband and I are back together. Things are much better. I truly believe God brought forth your
song to me. At a time it was needed I had it. It's saved to my favorites and I listen every time it comes on and any time I start to feel things bubbling
back up, thoughts of suicide or drinking, I sing "Overcome". So with all my heart, thank you and God Bless you and your music.
Sincerely,
Janet
