Wendy Lake was raised in a pastor's home in Baltimore, MD. She grew up in inner
city ministry and is still active in inner city work today. She started singing on stage
at the age of three! She met her future husband in church when she was only
seven years old, and married him when she was eighteen. Wendy and her husband,
Rick, have been blessed with two beautiful daughters.
Wendy is an artist driven by her love for music and for people, as well as her
commitment and devotion to God. The songs she has written are touching lives on
radio across the country, as well as international distribution, and television
coverage.
In 2001 Wendy was diagnosed with uterine cancer. The doctor was convinced that
an immediate full hysterectomy was necessary for any chance of survival. To
everyone's surprise, Wendy was miraculously healed by God within a few short
weeks! Through claiming the promises in God's word, her faith has sustained her,
and shown her that with God, she can overcome anything life brings her way!
Wendy has a heart for the poor, the hurting, the drug addict, and the prostitute.
She enjoys singing on the streets of the city, ministering a message of hope to
those who feel hopeless. It is her heart's desire that you will be uplifted as you
listen to her music!
